Panichgul is a New York-based fashion designer born in Thailand and raised in Omaha in the state of Nebraska, USA. He is known for his dynamic style and creations that combine a variety of different elements and is also working on his own brand, the THAKOON Collection. After completing a business degree at Boston University, Panichgul moved to New York where he worked as a writer and editor for Harpers Bazaar before becoming a designer. In September 2004, he presented his first ready-to-wear collection becoming one of the most celebrated talents emerging from the New York fashion scene. In 2006, Panichgul received the Vogue/CFDA Fashion Fund and in 2009 was also nominated by the CFDA for the Swarovski Award for Womenswear. His collections are beautifully finished and feminine with a modern and intelligent yet romantic and sexy taste.
